Beauty-seeker. Designer. Painter. Photographer. Hand-letterer & illustrator.
Hi! I’m Emily, a multi-disciplinary artist from Baltimore, Maryland who’s always dreaming of the coast and counting down until the next time that salty breeze tickles my skin.
I’ve always loved to create and earned my bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design (with a minor in business administration because 18-year-old me had goals of owning my own business 🎉).
I asked my friends and family to describe me and discovered that they see me as pretty sweet and a little sassy. Just kidding (kind of) – some of the top words they chose were creative, passionate, thoughtful, dedicated, kind, spirited, and goofy. I’m honored and I’ll take their word for it.
Most days you can find me playing with my pup, Jackson, making some kind of list somewhere (lists might be my love language), reading, finding time to get outside, or hanging out at home with my husband, Tommy. Things I’ll never say no to include any chance to play with color, dessert, quality time (my actual love language), Saturday mornings, puppy snuggles, and the beach.
A few more fun facts:
I love to read (mostly fiction) and have been in a book club since October of 2018
My husband and I started dating on my nineteenth birthday
The first painting I sold was, of course, of the ocean
I designed all the invitations, signage, menus, thank you notes, etc. for my wedding (you can see them here). I’ve come a long way in my design skills since then but am still in love with all the colors
I once spent two weeks backpacking in the Rocky Mountains and to this day have never seen a more beautiful view of the stars. I can’t wait to travel back to the midwest, west coast, and Italy
If I could make my own candle scent, it would be the smell of tomato sauce simmering with oregano and basil. My favorite meal growing up was spaghetti and meatballs (I am Italian) and the smell of it cooking was one of the best parts
I’m fascinated by history. If I could audit a college class just for fun (not related to art), I think it might be a history class. I also love reading historical fiction
My family STILL buys me colored pens for my birthday. I just can’t get enough of them. They’re my favorite companion when making lists
I love nicknames! Everyone in my immediate family has at least one. You better believe my dog has at least 5 :)
I’m a graphic designer but I don’t love designing logos (what?!?!). I do love designing invitations, prints and paintings for your home, and composing beautiful photos! You can see more in my shop, by visiting my portfolio, or finding me on Instagram. I’d love to hear from you!
